Kane joined Saskatoon Wellbeing Employment Enterprise Program (SWEEP) seeking fulltime work to support his family and in need of wraparound support as he stabilized other areas of his life. During his time with us, he has graduated from a family recovery program, got his driver’s licence, bought a car, and moved into independent housing with his partner and their children.
We hired Joe directly out of the justice system and he immediately embraced the program. During his time with us, we supported Joe to obtain the training and tools necessary to qualify for a job in the mines. He was a positive and hardworking member of our crew and we are happy to say he was able to move on from our program in 2026 to work fulltime for BHP.
